Job Purpose and Summary

The Graphic Designer assists the Marketing Coordinator to implement the marketing strategy throughout the company, its subsidiaries and related parties, by communicating ideas through images and copy layout. The designer will work with a wide range of media and graphic design software. In addition to design, the Graphic Designer will also assist the Marketing Coordinator with daily paperwork and office needs.


  • Think creatively to develop new design concepts, graphics and layouts, while also following branding guidelines
  • Prepare rough drafts of design projects
  • Listen to feedback to improve design
  • Amend final designs per direction
  • Work with a wide range of media and graphic design software
  • Use complex software, primarily Adobe programs, to create graphic assets and layouts
  • Work with a variety of products, including logos, advertisements, business cards, company calendars, letterhead, newsletters, project signs and other printed materials
  • Perform website design, primarily using WordPress
  • Perform video editing
  • Take photos on job sites as necessary
  • Provide design and organizational decisions related to creating marketing assets
  • Support Marketing Coordinator with daily paperwork and office needs
  • Assist Marketing Coordinator in researching, ordering, and storing marketing inventory

Job Requirements and Qualifications

  • Understanding of design with one to two years of experience
  • Creative with versatility, conceptual/visual ability and originality
  • Associates degree, or equivalent, specializing in graphic design or related field
  • Up-to-date with industry leading software and technologies (e.g., Adobe products, such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom and Acrobat Pro; WordPress; video editing software such as Premiere Pro; etc.)
  • Understanding of basic web design, especially WordPress, and search engine optimization (SEO)
  • Familiarity with CSS and HTML
  • Familiarity with photography, editing software, and digital asset management
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Publisher)
  • Familiarity with Google products (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, etc.)
  • Ability to learn new software programs as necessary
  • Ability to interact, communicate and present ideas
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Ability to adhere to deadlines and provide quick turnaround
  • Problem-solving aptitude
  • Eye for detail
  • Commercial awareness partnered with creativity
  • Able to perform work with moderate supervision
  • Able to lift and carry 20 lbs

Working Environment

  • Mainly office work with occasional travel to job sites
  • Working hours are typically 24 hours per week between 8am to 5pm
