TERMINAL 4 BANK STABILIZATION

The Terminal 4 Bank Stabilization Project, located in Vancouver, WA, improved the stability of the Columbia River bank, enhanced riparian conditions, and supported habitat for juvenile salmon. Our crews used approximately 7,650 tons of scour rock in combination with salvaged in-situ stone to help improve the bank stability. Our in-house Fabrication Shop custom built a live pole planting mechanism that could be easily attached to our excavator to allow the installation of all 2,000 live willow poles to be fast and simple. This time-sensitive project was completed ahead of schedule in just four months, ensuring it was finished before the river rose in the fall.
