Kalama Falls Hatchery

Phase 1 modifications to the Kalama Falls Hatchery provided critical expansion and improvements to the existing hatchery. Structural concrete construction included building a partial fish ladder, a concrete water distribution structure, and a truck fill station. Crews also upgraded the entire piping supply system, which included installing new wedge anchors, a fusion welder, inserting four fiberglass circular ponds, providing a draft hydrant, and completely updating the existing 48” storm water system. Lastly, crews performed general site improvements by constructing a 700 square foot ecology block retaining wall, providing gravel and asphalt areas, new fencing, and site electrical and mechanical upgrades.
