Coweeman Mitigation Bank

The Coweeman Mitigation Bank project aimed to reclaim a 46-acre site once part of the Coweeman River floodplain. In just six months, over 110,000 cubic yards of material were moved, the stream bed was realigned and re-excavated, and two precast box culverts were installed. To establish long-term habitat growth, the project included constructing a log jam structure, placing over 75 rootwad logs, and seeding the area with native grasses, restoring the site to a natural northwest Washington wetland.
