We offer competitive pay which is regularly compared to industry benchmarks. Per Diem is provided for eligible out-of-town employees when required to travel.

All employees accumulate paid time off based on their tenure. There is no “use it or lose it” system on PTO – if accrued PTO hours are not used by the end of the calendar year, they will roll over to the next year.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. We partner with the Northwest College of Construction to offer apprenticeship programs to carpenters, laborers, and heavy equipment operators. Apprentices receive extensive on-the-job training and classroom instruction. 

Yes. If you are looking for an internship, please apply through an open application and specify the type of internship you are interested in. We are excited to have motivated interns to join us and the possibility to offer internships depends on the need in each department. 

Tapani is always accepting applications. Once you have submitted your application a supervisor in the appropriate department will review it. If a supervisor is interested in bringing you in for an interview then they (or someone from Human Resources) will reach out to you to schedule a time to meet. If you do not hear back in regards to your application, you are welcome to call Human Resources to check in and/or resubmit another application. 

Employee benefits start the first day of the month following 60 days of employment.

We have projects throughout Washington, Oregon, and Idaho, with the majority of them located within a few hours of the Vancouver/Portland area and Tri-Cities areas. Although our goal is to obtain as much local work as possible for our crews so they can make it home every night, some of our projects require out of town work.

Tapani does not require degrees to qualify for hire. Instead, we strive to train and develop motivated and hard working employees to the skills and requirements of the job. Most of our positions require a GED or High School diploma. Some positions require further education or certifications which are specified in the job description or during the hiring process. A few of our positions require certifications, such as a Traffic Control Supervisor (TCS) and Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
