The Rose Way Industrial Park project consisted of the construction of all civil site work and utility installation to prepare the Port of Woodland’s 5th industrial site, which in the upcoming years will be home to six new industrial buildings ranging from 15,000-25,000 square feet. Located on a 12-acre site, we performed over 31,000 cubic yards of grading, installed over 5,800 linear feet of storm, sewer, and water pipelines ranging from 6”-24” in diameter, constructed a 100 ft x 300 ft storm drainage pond with an 8,000 square foot gravity block wall perimeter, and constructed new site roads. A significant accomplishment on this project was our value engineering proposal to use Stone Strong blocks around the perimeter of the retention pond rather than the Ultra Blocks listed in the specifications. Due to a four month delivery delay on Ultra Block materials, switching to Columbia Precast’s Stone Strong blocks not only utilized locally made materials, but also prevented delays to the project without increasing cost.
