The SR-14 project in Camas, WA improved safety along SR-14 by adding median barriers, while increasing traffic capacity and reducing travel times. This project was vital to help current traffic flows, and accommodate future residential, commercial and industrial growth in the area. The project work consisted of improvements at SR- 14 from MP 11.93 to MP 15.5. Crews widened SR-14 to four divided lanes, built split diamond interchanges at Union Street in Camas and 2nd street in Washougal, widened the West Camas Slough Bridge, and constructed a new bridge over the East Camas Slough. Crews also removed the four way intersection at 6th St., performed road improvements on the frontage roads, and added a frontage road South of SR-14.
