Located in La Center, WA, the Stephens Hillside project transformed 27 acres of farmland into an 85-lot residential community featuring a private park and public road enhancements. Construction included over 130,000 cubic yards of excavation, 60,000 cubic yards of import, and erection of 16,500 square feet of Allan Block MSE walls reaching heights of up to 15 feet. Furthermore, crews installed over 20,000 feet of storm, sewer, and water utilities, a portion of which extended to depths of 18 to 20 feet. Given its proximity to a stream, we leveraged a water filtration system and implemented CTB on the roadways to effectively mitigate erosion. Our largest success on this project, though, was found in the successful coordination between the crews and existing homeowners of three onsite residences, which ensured their existing utilities were not disturbed during major earthwork activities.
