Taylor Way Rehabilitation Project

The Taylor Way Road Rehabilitation was a 2.5-mile road improvement project that upgraded an aging asphalt roadway to concrete, built to heavy haul standards. Improvements included a new sidewalk, upgraded curb ramps, and the addition of Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) infrastructure with traffic cameras, EMS-preemption signals, and underground fiber installation. Railroad crossings were consolidated to reduce truck/rail conflicts, while utility upgrades and safe handling of contaminated materials were also essential aspects of the project.
