Tapani Inc. performs heavy civil, site construction, and structural concrete services throughout the Pacific Northwest. The company has grown significantly since its establishment in 1983.
Over the past 35 years, Tapani has diversified from primarily underground utility work to encompass nine market areas. These areas include: commercial, grading and environmental, industrial, materials, structures, subdivisions, transportation, trucking and, of course, utilities.
With over 500 employees, Tapani is currently managing approximately 60 active projects. Depending on the project, Tapani performs as either the general contractor or a subcontractor. To ensure that the right tools are ready for any project, a team of mechanics and technicians maintains a fleet of more than 250 pieces of equipment.
Tapani cares for every project, large or small, with dedicated resources and full attention. The company’s exceptional staff strive for client satisfaction.

Committed to Safety
Going home each day the same way you came to work is a goal every day at Tapani Inc. The company is committed to keeping all its employees in the safest workplace environment possible, to achieving a high level of safety culture, and to being the safest company to work for in the Pacific Northwest. Tapani believes its employees should be rewarded for safe performance at both a group and individual level, and has implemented and successfully maintained Safety Incentive Programs to do just that. More detailed information is on the website’s Safety page, but you should know that each one of Tapani's projects starts with a comprehensive,
documented Job Hazard Analysis which is communicated through management down to all levels of field employees. A Daily Pre-Task Plan Checklist begins each day for Tapani crews and itemizes the safety hazards, controls and plan for the day. Weekly Monday morning Toolbox Safety Meetings cover a variety of safety and health topics relevant to the industry. Tapani utilizes state agencies in Washington and Oregon for yearly workplace on-site consultations to help the company excel in safety and accident prevention. Tapani's state-approved accident and prevention programs cover all aspects of underground construction safety.
